Daniel Sundaita Peña entered into heavenly rest and joined our Lord on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at the age of 44 years.  He was born on August 21, 1978, in Phoenix, AZ where he was a life-long resident.     

Danny is survived by his beloved mother, Susana “Mercado” Stone; his younger siblings, his brother, Robert Sanchez and his sister, Vanessa Ochoa Torres.  He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family members as well as his many life-long friends.  Danny is preceded in death and greeted at the gates of heaven by his beloved older brother, Ralph Anthony Peña, Jr.; his grandparents, Jesus Mercado and Alicia Mercado; his Uncle Saul “Blue” Mercado; his Uncle Rosendo “Roy” Mercado and his cousin, Sheldon Miguel Kobold. 

A memorial service and viewing was held from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Abrazo Funeral Home located at 1075 South Idaho Road, Apache Junction, AZ 85119.  The service was followed by a lunch reception. 

We love and miss our beloved, Danny.  May the Lord rest his kind and gentle soul.
