David Myrick, beloved brother, uncle, mentor and friend, died at home on January 30, 2025, of a cardiac event, at the age of 64. David had a passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine; he was an acupuncture practitioner, as well as a highly regarded teacher and academic advisor in the field. David’s dedication to his students and unwavering kindness was unmatched.  His teachings will live on in the healers he helped shape.

David is survived by his brother Jonathan Myrick of Vienna, VA, and his nephews Zach Myrick and Dylan Myrick.  He was predeceased by his parents, Rufus and Marianne Myrick, and his brother, Christopher Myrick.

David’s life will be celebrated at a memorial service on Friday, February 21, at 5:00 pm, at the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine & Acupuncture (PIHMA), where David was a mentor, healer, and inspiration to so many.
