Jolene Carpenter Bowles, 67, passed away peacefully at her Mesa, AZ home on May 19, 2023 after a year long battle with brain cancer.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Donald George Bowles, children Ben Bowles(Angie), Daniel Bowles, James Bowles(Cicily), Deborah Williams(Stuart), 27 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren(one on the way), mother-in-law Bertie Bowles, sisters Renae Baum(Ed), Ladeane Garner(Jerry), Brothers Chuck Carpenter(Sharla), Don Carpenter(Irene), and many in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Jolene is preceded in death by her parents, Jerald and Donna Carpenter, son Jeremy Bowles(Sara), daughter Leah Lowe(Eric), brother Michael Carpenter, Father-in-law Ronald Bowles, and brother-in-law Brian Bowles.

Jolene was born in Mesa, AZ, the third of 6 children, and grew up in Gilbert, AZ where she graduated from Gilbert High School in 1973. She married Don in the Mesa, AZ Temple in February of 1974. After raising 6 children through the most tender years, she worked in the insurance industry for 19 years, retiring in 2019. She faithfully served in many callings for her church throughout her lifetime, including a service mission in the Gilbert, AZ temple and as a missionary in the Gilbert AZ mission.

A viewing will be held Friday, May 26th from 6:00PM-8:00PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 3440 S. Signal Butte Rd. Mesa, AZ. Graveside service Saturday May 27th, at 9:00 AM at the Mesa City Cemetery 1212 N. Center St. Mesa, AZ. Funeral Service will be Saturday May 27th at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 3440 S. Signal Butte Rd. Mesa, AZ.
