Lawrence Lee Bateman Sr. Born May 4th 1952 of Norfolk VA peacefully passed away on Monday Oct 30th 2023 surrounded by family. Lawrence was the son of Joseph Ray Bateman Sr. And Velma  Lavinia Moore Bateman. Larry was the president of the Piano Store of Scottsdale Az. He graduated from Great Bridge High School in Chesapeake VA. He also attended Tidewater Community College in VA, he was prominent in the music industry, he toured and studied in various piano factories in the US, Europe and Asia for several years. Lawrence married the former Sharon Hall of NC on March 30th 1975 who survives of the home, they have 5 children Lawrence Lee Bateman Jr, Andrew Bateman and wife Nadiya  Bateman, Christopher Sills Bateman, Amy Bateman Ramsey and husband Joshua , Elizabeth Bateman Wescott and Husband Taylor. Lawrence has 6 grandchildren. Lawrence is also survived by his brother Joseph Ray Bateman Jr and wife Nan of FL, and his Sister Sheila Bateman Ponder and husband Dan of VA, lastly his best friend Molly the Beagle. The funeral will be held in Phoenix Az at the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints located at 4242 E Waltann Ln Phoenix Az on Tuesday Nov 7th at 12:00 noon. Burial will be at Boulder City Municipal Cemetery in Nevada on Wednesday Nov 8th at 12:30 pm. The celebration of life will be held at the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints located at 401 N Valle Verde Dr Henderson NV from 4 to 6:30 pm. The family would like to thank the Arizona Heart Institute ICU for their loving care and kindness towards Lawrence for the last 3 weeks.
