On June 2 1942, Lynn Alden Waugh was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Charles and Rubylea Waugh. Lynn and her older brother Howard, spent their childhood in Lakewood, Ohio. Lynn had married and remarried; at times had taken the last names of Seebach, Burr, and Stone at different seasons in her absolutely melodic composition of life. 

Growing up, Lynn had a natural ability for art and music. As a teenager, Lynn played the piano and flute and was a majorette in her highschool marching band. She attended Kent State in Ohio where she majored in Early Childhood Education. Throughout her life, Lynn had a tremendous love for children, education, art, and music. 

Lynn met her husband James Robert Seebach at a church social and invited him over to enjoy some pie with a group of friends. She knew he was a keeper when he said he loved pie! They were married on August 27,1966 in Rocky River, Ohio. Jim and Lynn were blessed with three children; Julie (David) Benson, James (Mary) Seebach, and LeAnne (Jonathan) Ballard. They spent the early years of their marriage in Houston, Texas and later moved to Charlotte, North Carolina where they began their family. During this time, they were lovingly fellowshipped by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and chose to be baptized. This one decision changed not only their lives, but their decision has blessed their children, grandchildren, and will continue to bless future generations. 

Jim and Lynn settled with their family in Crofton, Maryland. Lynn was a dedicated wife, mother, member of her community and church community. Lynn loved to open her home to all and was loved by many. In 1995, after almost 30 years of marriage, her loving husband Jim passed away and Lynn moved her family to Gilbert, Arizona. For 15 years, Lynn was a sought-after and adored first grade teacher at Bright Beginnings School in Chandler. In 2001 Lynn married John Burr and after his death, was married to James Stone from 2013 until his death in 2020. James Stone and Lynn supported and loved each other through their joint battles with Parkinson’s Disease.

Lynn became the proud grandmother to 12 grandchildren. She loved being involved in their lives and attended as many recitals, games, and performances as possible. Lynn loved sharing her testimony of the restored gospel and her love of the Savior Jesus Christ with her grandchildren and those she met. She loved to perform sacred hymns on her flute for the church congregations she lived in over the years. Lynn loved to draw and paint and frequently designed and made beautiful cards for friends and family. Lynn will truly be missed. Our entire family wants to thank all the family, friends and caregivers who took such tender care of our mother during her years of illness. Until we meet again mom, we love you!
