Ronald “Ron” W. Butts peacefully passed away unexpectedly on May 22, 2022 at his home in San Tan Valley, Arizona. He was born In Toledo, Oregon on September 28, 1961. Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Sheri Piercy, and his stepfather, Drayton Piercy. He is survived by his loving wife, Ann, and his children Kristen (James) Smoke, Sean Butts, and his grandchildren,
Lorelai and Brady Smoke.

His family moved several times during his childhood finally settling in Wisconsin. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Ron served proudly and with honor in the US Navy. He loved working in the operating room as a surgical technician/first assistant, first while in the Navy and then in Michigan and Arizona. Ron took pride in his work and was always happy to share his vast knowledge. He was an excellent teacher and preceptor.

Ron was always ready to give a helping hand. He loved football, riding his motorcycle, and loved finding new tools for his garage workshop. He was always one for a good laugh and pulling pranks. Ron loved to share his life story if asked and was full of pride when speaking of his children, his son-in-law, and his grandchildren.

A memorial gathering to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 6 to 7 pm at Abrazo Funeral Home, 1075 S Idaho Rd., Apache Junction, AZ.
